Gavin Thomas is a New York City based freelance Photographer who is known best for his experimental and photojournalistic style. He has shot for a number of editorial assignments and magazine features including New York Magazine.com, Rap-Up Magazine, Live Music Productions NYC, and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. His Published and Award Winning works include Blackbook Raw for 2008, the 2007 UnScene NY Tour, the PDN student photo contest, PDN Olympus Visionage, 2006 PDN 30 Under 30, held at St. Bonaventure. Gavin has a dynamic sense of composition and a fresh HIP, urban style that is heavily influenced by his surroundings in NYC. Whether on the streets, on location or in the studio, his subjects appear comfortable and natural. And is also a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology's intense photo school where he earned his BFA in Professional Photographic Illustration.
